Better plant care starts below the surface.
Peat-free growing media for indoor, outdoor and succulent plants, and a biochar topper that keeps the surface right. Made in South Africa.
The surface holds the water in.
A thin layer of pyrolysed biochar on top of the pot protects the surface and helps it hold moisture. One litre tops eight to ten pots. Refresh every six months, or when the surface thins.
Roots need air as much as water.
A pot is four layers doing four jobs. Compacted soil drowns a plant slowly. The mix is built so each layer does its job without you thinking about it.
- TopperHolds moisture at the surface and slows evaporation. That's the Biochar Topper.
- AirPumice and bark keep the structure open so roots can breathe between waterings.
- Root zoneCompost, worm castings and biochar hold nutrients where the roots are.
- DrainageCoarse material at the base lets excess water leave instead of sitting.

Everything in the bag is listed on the bag.

Where the roots are, the mix is.
Three blends, one structure. The difference is how much water each holds and how fast it lets go. Pick by where the plant lives.
Not sure which?
One question. Each mix is blended for how much water that plant wants to hold, and how fast it wants to drain.
Water in. Water out.
Every mix is built to drain. Pumice and bark keep the channels open so excess water leaves the pot instead of sitting at the roots. Coco coir and worm castings hold what the plant can use.
- Part-fill the pot with the mix for where the plant lives.
- Position the plant and backfill gently. Don't press it down.
- Water through until it runs clear from the base, then let it drain.

Of this place, not about it.
Blended and packed in South Africa. The plants, light and stone in these pictures are the ones outside the door. Origin comes through in the materials, never as a badge.
